Something Bigger Than Twitter?

They say it will transform your life. It allows you to open your own record company. It also claims to expand your revenue by allowing you to discover a whole new world. Me2everyone.com claims to be the newest, greatest idea that will help you shape the world. That's a big promise!

Me2everyone is going to reach throughout the world, so they say. Andy Fisher, director of the UK team says, "From these experiences, we are helping the projects team design the freelance Customer Care network that will put thousands of people into new work across the next 3 years."

What's different about this website compared to others? Members own this site. When they make a profit, you make a profit.

Although it is a brand new launched website, I didn't get the answers or direction I was seeking on what me2everyone is really all about. They say you can make money, and of course do all the usual stuff that other social networking sites do. You can chat, shop, play, create a photo gallery, protect the environment, and don't forget about launching your own record label. Sounds interesting.

They even offer shareholding. "Where Web 2.0 was all about designing web pages for your personal preferences, me2everyone believes that our success is linked to you being successful. There's so much competition within the social networking world and when you consider that the leading names are only about 4 or 5 years old, there's scope for someone new. Also there are 1.4 billion internet users across the planet, but an estimated 70% of people do not use any social networking website. We wanted to create something that everyone wanted. Giving you the chance to be an owner and share in potential profits seems like a good idea. And with nearly 30,000 new members joining every week it seems you agree!"

Are you as confused as I am? Great!

It peaked my curiosity so I joined. After all, it's free. By December 2012 me2everyone wants at least 100,000,000 registered members. The website was launched in January and 30,000 people per week are joining. That's a lot considering the website isn't even functioning yet.

Finally I get to the point. Fifteen minutes into searching the site I get some real answers. Or maybe not. Me2everyone plans to eventually become a hybrid between a 2D social network and a 3D world. There will be scope for business and there are plans to put 72,000 people into work over the next 3 years.

I'm still skeptical, but curious to see the changes they are planning to make. As for Twitter, I don't think they'll have any problems sleeping at night, wondering where they'll wind up.
